The app comes first: make the everyday BOAR excellent, and let the people who carry it tell us where it falls short. Then it grows outward, into packs of knowledge that people make, share and take with them.

A direction, not a schedule. It will change as people use the app.

  1. Phase 1 · Here today

    Roots

    The part that already works, in v1.0.0 for Android. All of it runs on the phone, with no account and no network after the first setup, and it is measured on a real device.

      Ask with no signal and BOAR finds the right passages in its library, by keyword and by meaning, then a model on your phone writes the answer.

      Bring your own notes, manuals and data (.txt, .md, .csv, .json or .pdf) and BOAR learns them on the phone, in collections you switch on and off.

Tell us what you’d want in your pocket when the signal drops. Ideas, pack requests and bug reports all go in GitHub issues, and the code is MIT, open to anyone who wants to build.
